Mr. Bonifati has more than 30 years of experience as a trial attorney in the field of insurance and negligence litigation. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County serving in criminal court, homicide investigations and the appeals bureau. Prior to joining the firm he was house counsel for The Hartford Insurance Company working for more than thirty (30) years as a Senior Staff Attorney handling cases from intake through trial and appeal. Mr. Bonifati’s experience includes a concentration in complex construction litigation, premises liability and automobile litigation, insurance coverage and indemnity issues, as well as no-fault and subrogation matters. He is an accomplished trial attorney who has taken multiple cases to verdict in the New York State Supreme Court system.
Mr. Bonifati is also active in the legal community. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Queens County Bar Association, where he presently sits as a member of the Judiciary Committee. In addition, since 2000, he has been an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University instructing classes in Business Law and International Business Law.
