Mr. Marschhausen has over 30 years of experience representing carriers in the prosecution and defense of insurance litigation. His practice includes litigation and trial of insurance coverage, professional liability, Class Action/Multi District Litigation and casualty matters ranging from auto liability to labor law claims. Mr. Marschhausen was the first attorney to successfully prosecute a Workers’ Compensation subrogation action, in New York, following the 1996 amendments to the Workers’ Compensation Law, which made such actions viable to prosecute, with the Treadway case.

Mr. Marschhausen began his career at a large insurance firm where he worked on a variety of complex matters ranging from the subrogation investigation of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing to commercial auto liability defense and property damage subrogation.

Mr. Marschhausen is active in the legal community. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, where he sits on the Executive Committee of the Torts Insurance and Compensation Law Section, and is the Co-Chair of the No-Fault Committee. He is also a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals and past Co-Chair of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.  He is also a member of the N.Y. Claims Association, the NYS Self Insurance Association, and the New York State Association of Self-Insured Counties.
